Grand waterfalls, Glaciers, Black sand beaches and small fishing villages all await you on this tour and are waiting for you to come and explore them. During this trip we will make particular highlights of Seljalandsfoss, Skogafoss, Reynisfjara, Vík and Sólheimajökull.
Our day tour will begin with our fast and efficient pick up service. We will come to pick you up you from either, one of the hotels in the center of Reykjavik or from one of the many pick up spots dotted across the city. When pick up is completed then we will leave the city and begin our journey along the southern coast of Iceland.
The South coast of Iceland faces the north atlantic ocean and as a result this means that this area often faces the most extreme weather conditions in the country. This has been a major factor contributing to the sculpting of the dramatic landscapes of this area where you will find glaciers, volcanoes, black sand beaches and acres of green lava fields. This contrast leads to a day tour where you will never be without something beautiful to look at.
The first stop we make is at the Skógafoss waterfall. This 65 foot tall waterfall is gorgeous in it’s own right but perhaps more beautiful is the view from the stop where you will be able to get a birds eye view of the aforementioned contrasting surroundings. From here we will then travel to the southernmost village in Iceland called Vík. This is a beautiful little fishing village, with only 300 inhabitants. it’s a small community but there are plenty of places for you to refuel and recharge. You can even pick up some handmade gifts that are handcrafted here.
Our next stop is Reynisfjara, this is the black sand beaches along the south coast that many people come to Iceland to see. They are widely regarded as some of the most impressive black sand beaches in the country but the highlight of the area has to be the basalt columns.
Now heading on our way back to Reykjavik we make sure to squeeze in a few more stops to make sure you get to see the most of this amazing nature. One such stop will be at Sólheimajökull, this is a glacier tongue from the Mýrdalsjökull glacier. This destination is a popular spot for Glacier hikes due to its more accessible nature compare to other glaciers. Our final stop is then the Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, another stunning waterfall that is some to a very special surprise. Seljalandsfoss has perhaps one of the most amazing photo opportunities in the country as a small path lets you walk behind the mighty cascade of water!
Following this stop we will head back to the city so that you can continue your Icelandic adventure.
The duration of the tour is 10 hours

Pick up services
Missing the pick up does not entitle you to a refund for the paid services. You are responsible for being ready at the designated pick up location at the scheduled time. Pick up locations vary from tour to tour but we always try our best to pick you up as close to your accommodations as possible. New regulations from the city of Reykjavík has hindered our ability to drive our larger vehicles within the city center so you might be required to go to the nearest bus stop.
