The Zipline is located right next to the village in Vík in South Iceland surrounded by beautiful hills and valleys. It is not directly accessible by vehicle so after meeting at the base at Víkurbraut 5, you will drive for 5 minutes, then hike for another 5 minutes at a moderate pace to reach the platform where you will take off for the first zip, named Little Rush. You will be given detailed safety instructions and made sure you are comfortable with what to do during the zipline so you will enjoy the ride to the fullest and stay safe. Once you’re ready then you wait your turn and next thing you know, you are zipping above the canyon, heart pumping with excitement and having the best birds-eye view of the area that you can’t imagine beforehand.
The second zipline, The Gentle Giant, is just around the corner from the first one, this is the longest ride, 240 meters and often named the prettiest one. When everyone has safely finished the two first ziplines it’s time for a short hike (about 10 minutes) through amazing rock formation of Grafargil (Grave Canyon) to the next activity, named Leap of Faith. This is the shortest line and here things are done a little bit differently with a little surprise, we wont spoil it for you. Lastly follows the fourth zip-line that is called Big Rush, it will take you over a stunning waterfall, named Hundafoss (Dog’s waterfall). To finish off the experience we might offer a short hike back to the base if the weather allows.
