The history of Bergen Børs hotel dates back to 19th century. Housed in a beautifully restored historical building that was once the stock exchange, the hotel seamlessly blends historic elegance with modern comfort. With a range of carefully designed rooms and suites, guests are treated to a lavish stay adorned with nordic furnishings and contemporary amenities.
Bergen Børs Hotel, designed by architect F.W. Schiertz, opened in 1862 and was rebuilt in the Neo-Renaissance style from 1890 to 1893. The architectural firm Claesson Koivisto Rune was responsible for converting the former stock exchange building into a hotel that has preserved its unique history while adding a more modern style. According to the architects, "eccentricity" and "magic" were key concepts as a starting point for the process.
The hotel also houses the restaurant Frescohallen, an impressive hall with murals on the walls and an international menu and local seafood, of course. In addition, you can eat Spanish tapas at Fresquito, or enjoy a unique flavour experience in the gourmet restaurant Bare by Pak.
