Auroral displays appear in many colours although pale green and pink are the most common. Shades of red, yellow, green, blue, and violet have been reported.
The lights appear in many forms from patches or scattered clouds of light to streamers, arcs, rippling curtains or shooting rays that light up the sky with an eerie glow.

Golden Circle
Today, we venture into the iconic Golden Circle. Discover Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site steeped in history and natural beauty. From the erupting Strokkur geyser to the thundering Gullfoss waterfall, you’ll see Iceland’.s most cherished landmarks up close.
This is the only place where the Mid-Atlantic Ridge comes to the surface and forms a rift valley between tectonic plates. Filled in the fissure created by the separation of the plates is glacial water that has been filtered underground for decades through hardened, porous lava rock. The filtering process of the glacial water makes Silfra one of the clearest bodies of water on earth, with up to 120 meters of visibility.
Time for an adrenaline rush with a snowmobile ride on Langjökull Glacier. This exhilarating adventure lets you experience the breathtaking beauty of Iceland’s glaciers like never before. As you zip across the pristine ice, the thrill of speed surges through you, taking you to places few have ventured.
At Geysir geothermal area, Strokkur, "the butter churn”, erupts about every 4-8 minutes. The big Geyser, which gave its name to all other geysers, has been inactive in recent years.
Gullfoss is an iconic waterfall located in South Iceland on the Hvítá River, which is fed by Iceland´s second biggest glacier, Langjökull. On a sunny day, a shimmering rainbow can be seen over the falls.
After the rush, settle into the peaceful retreat of Hotel Rangá, carefully chosen by our team for its perfect location to observe the Northern Lights. The hotel’s observatory, guided by a local astronomer, invites you to experience the wonders of the night sky, offering expert tips for capturing long-exposure photos.

Beneath the thick glacial surface lies a frozen world of ever-shifting tunnels, their walls glowing in shades of blue that seem almost unreal. These formations, carved by nature over centuries, offer a fleeting glimpse into a world few ever get to see.
As night falls, return to the warmth of Hotel Rangá, where a feast of Nordic flavors awaits. And if the sky is kind, the Northern Lights may once again dance above, their colors rippling across the vast Arctic sky.
