Today after arrival and check-in, you will have some time to relax and unwind after the journey. Later today, you will meet with your private guide at the hotel´s lobby. From here, you will explore the vibrant capital of Greenland. 

In the eyes of Greenlanders, Nuuk with over 17,500 inhabitants, is a big city. In fact, it takes several hours to go from one end of Nuuk to the other, as the town is growing almost every day. During the your walking tour, you will discover the arctic beauty of this small city up north, with its original and colourful houses from 17th and 18th century, that are still in use today. 

Walking around the charming streets of Nuuk, you may stop at ´Kalaaliaraq,’ the traditional market. Despite the name, that translate to ´The little Greenlander´ the market has a lot to offer. Here all the freshly caught fish, seals and reindeer are sold. Taste the arctic culinary scene and try some locals´ favourite specialities. 

You may also wish to pay a visit at the National Museum, where fascinating stories about civilisations in Greenland are told by many findings from all time periods. While passing the Hans Egede´s house and his controversial statue near Greenland Cathedral, you will learn more about the history of this brave nation.
